I'm Black, You're White, Who's Innocent? by Shelby Steele

I didnt quite understand this text mostly because there to many big words that i didnt know but. As far as what i got out of this text was that blacks can gain power over the white by thier innocent and not be their actions. Another think that i like was what he said about Bill Cosby. I deffently agree with him when he said that Bill Cosby doesnt do anything to make white not watch he show. he welcomes them more than taking away from viewing the show.

Killer Culture by David Kuplian

What i got of this text was that kid are influenced by what they watch and then end up wearing clothing or doing things that would change their culture difference. Its seem like he didnt like the the idea about the TV being the influence teenage kids following the example of what they see on tv. And since the teenage kids end up doing that than they become example to the younger simblings, making seem like it was cool thing to do or wear.

Framing Clas, Viscarious LIving, and Conspicuous Consumption by Dian Kendall

This text reflects on how the media is on the different social classes of the United States. They make the rich look good while they make the lower classes be less important and getting to look like they need to upgreat themselves. Since lowerclasses isnt good enough for the media, they make them more noticable to the world. While they are rich people who think they have a simple lives when their lives aren't really that simple as they expriment how life is as a lower class from them. Media just have different views from each social classes. Upper class makes the most news.

Serving in Florida by Barbara Ehrenreich

This Text help me learn how jobs that dont require education can make people frusterated and have them not earn enough to to do what you wish to do. Ehrenreich didn't seem like she had time to do anything that had to do with entertainment. I also learn that she has a filty mouth and express her anger on how life really is as a westress and as a house housekeeper. And by reading this text i hope on getting my bachelors degree so i don't have to face what Ehrenreich had face in this text.

"I Just Wanna Be Average" by Mike Rose

I can relate to Rose has express in this essay. Going through a lot that you just want to be Avarage and be able to do everything without having so much trouble and not being to being made fun of. Like when he was in P.E., the teacher didnt think he was fit enough to do what they were trying to do so gave a very bad express to make feel bad. I always find it afair that everybody else can study and be able to good on a test while still can do bad on test even if i study. But im not blame for disability. I just have try hard a lot more harder to past the class. We have to think postive to get through school.

Against School by John Taylor Gatto

Against School by John Taylor Gatto was started of very interesting by saying that it was every was fault that the school was full of boredom. Both the teachers and the students argued about the school being school. The school teachers were boredom because of how the kids act and only interested in their grades. But Gatto actually on and said that there nobody to blame for the boredom but yourself and i would have to agree with that. I usually say that things are boring because i make boring not that is actually boring. Another thing that i actually like was when he mention if 7 class period classes, five days a week, nine months and 12 years of schools is necessary. He mention some importants names of presidents and or important from our country that didnt need that much teaching as you would get at a public school. Gatto talk about this guy name Inglis that broke down the purpose of the modern schooling into six basic functions. And this six basic functions is the purpose of the mandatory public education. This was very put my Gatto and learn lot about what he thought about what he thought about the school system.

Idiot Nation by Michael Moore

Well this was interesting and very understandable on his feelings of a Idiot Nation. What got me thinking was when he mention about the 556 seniors that were giving multiple-choice test and out those students 53 percent of the question were answer right. The thing that i thought its was funny was that most of them knew the answer to the question "Who was Snoop Dogg was and Beavis and Butt-head. I can see how blames the politicans for not doing what MTV is doing. Politican should make something that would get people out there interested in good education things. The other that got my attention was when he mention about the fact that politican were very bright on what they do so he came up with some interesting and question and made clear that most of them would score 50 percent of the pop quiz.

The context, "From Changing American Families" by Judy Root Aulette i learn a lot about different kinds social class, race ethnicity and gender constitute of families. One thing that was interesting was about how the middle class family view love differently from upper-class family where middle class would want to be with somebody thats is in a higher class and more popular than them while the higher class would stick with class to optain the rich power. Another thing that got me interested was about the working-class African people. This African working-class was cretized by people that the caused urban problem but the African american fought back and argue that have been that being faced by poverty caused by their social problems. But a lot this was breaking everything that you see in America families. like some family had the wives be left behind with kids by their parents back they live but when they came to the United States they were able to go where ever the father found a job. Another thing that interested me is about middle-class families, where the family had to go wherever the father had to go for a job. As for the higher classes it wasnt that much necessary. So found this very interesting and very understandable

Gammer Post- Structure Sentencing

What We Really Miss About the 1950s by Stephanie Coontz pg.31-47

My impression of this context by Stephaie Coontz was that many people thought that the 1950s was the best time to grow up as a child. But the thing is that there were some things that people that got survied were paticular of some things that weren't so good during era. Like most of them said that the communications with parents back then wasn't has good as it was with their own kids. The women were treated didferently has they would be in later years. The other thing that struct me was that in 1950s had a higher percentage of family being together than in the 90s. The 1950s seem more of a sit back and relax kinda of time than other years. Families werent so much lively and talktive as laters years to follow.
